Excuse Me, Mr.

Just a short post on something that I've always found funny. I'm not sure if this happens to other wheelchair users, also, but I am assuming it does.

People say "excuse me" when they are three, four, or five feet away from me/my chair. I really cannot figure out why either. Is it that they think I am closer than I really am? Do they think I don't know how to work my wheelchair?

On the same lines, I can't count how many times people have said to me "boy, you really get around well in that wheelchair."

Even better than that, one time after a show I did, someone said to my father "how long did he have to practice using the wheelchair?"

I'll take things that make me laugh for $500, Alex!

Have a good one. =)
