Good riddance to 2012

I seem to say this every time I post, but again it has been a while.  I wasn't very fond of 2012.  Although I traveled to Europe twice and Canada once, I had a lot of health issues which made things very difficult and sucky.  I also turned 30 this year and have had a difficult time coming to terms with that.  ...oh yeah, one of my aunts died this year, too.

Christmas was a disaster, as well.

I am hoping that 2013 will be better.  Happy New Year to everyone.

So I'm in Munich (Munchen)

I'm here for Oktoberfest.  It was rainy yesterday and it is rainy again today.  Hopefully that won't be too much of an issue once I find a tent or hall to go in.  According to a website that my girlfriend found, most of the festival areas are handicapped accessible.  Even the Big Wheel that overlooks everything.

So...

I haven't posted much lately.  I seem to say that a lot.  However the reason I usually don't post is because nothing is going on.  This time it is because a lot has been going on.

In the past month I've been to a bunch of different countries in Europe while visiting my girlfriend.  If you watch my YouTube videos you already know that, though.

I am on my way back home from North Carolina right now.  I was visiting my sister for the last time in Wilmington.  She recently got her doctor's degree and will be moving to Atlanta to start a job there.

A dream I had last night

When I was a kid, I used to have a recurring dream that I could fly.  I would soar over my town and it was so much fun seeing everything from a different viewpoint.  I loved those dreams, but I stopped having them around the time I started high school (or maybe even before then).

Last night I finally had one again.  It was slightly different this time, though.  Instead of flying over the town I grew up in, I was flying over a small chain of tropical islands.  I don't remember ever landing in my original dreams, but in the one last night I landed a few times and wandered around each little island a bit.

Additionally, I had the ability to morph into a sea gull in the dream last night.  In my original dreams, I just flew as myself.  In the one last night, though, I didn't have to be a sea gull to fly.  However, when I wasn't a sea gull, I was Rajon Rondo!  0_o

Spring is finally here

1.  Washing dishes while standing in my braces
2.  Going up and down a step in my braces/crutches

 I got in my braces on Thursday and then again today.  Every time I do it, it gets a bit easier.

I'd really like to find a nice stairway with a handrail so I could do a video of me going up them.  I'll have to scout out some locations for that.

Braces and thanks

I got in my braces again today after not doing it for a couple of days.  It felt much easier today and my movement seemed much more fluid than the first couple of times.  Going up that one step is getting a lot easier, but I am anxious to try more than one step at a time.

Braces again

Braces and crutches

So in the past 4 days, I've been in my braces 3 times. That is more than in the previous 5 months combined. I am actually standing in them as I type this.

Braces

I know I haven't posted in a long, long time. The reason for that is I've been having a very tough few months health wise. There really isn't an end in site, either, unfortunately.

Anyway, I got in my braces for the first time in about six months yesterday. I just did a little bit of walking in them. I figured that maybe standing up/moving around in them might help me feel a little better. I'll try anything at this point.

The recent lack of posts

Some of you may have been wondering why I haven't been making blog posts nearly as much as I used to. The reason for that is that I've been sick for about 4 months now (with various different things). I wasn't sick enough that I couldn't post. I was just depressed from being sick for so long that I didn't feel like posting anything.
